RedmiBook 14 with 8th Gen Intel Core i7 Processors, Nvidia GeForce MX250 Announced

In addition to the Redmi K20 seriesflagships, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi today announced its first ever laptop. The new RedmiBook 14 offers Intel’s eighth generation Core processors with NVIDIA GeForce MX 250 graphics and more.

Featuring a metallic build, the new RedmiBook 14 is Redmi’s first laptop – while Xiaomi has launched laptops under the Mi brand before, this is the first Redmi-branded laptop. It is powered by the eighth generation Intel Core processors. Buyers have an option to choose up to Intel Core i7 8565U and 512GB of SSD storage.

As mentioned above, the RedmiBook 14 sports a 14-inch ultra-narrow HD display panel with narrow bezels from the sides and wider at the top. Under the hood, the RedmiBook 14 is powered with up to eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor along with Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics which is coupled with 8GB of RAM.
In terms of storage, this Notebook also comes with up to 512GB of Solid State Drive (SSD).

Furthermore, the machine carries an advanced cooling system which disperses the heat to make the system remain cool even om high workload. Moreover, there is an intake vent area of 2530mm.
RedmiBook 14 comes with a full-fledged normal keyboard with good keyspaces with a travel distance of 1.3mm and 19mm wide keys. It packs a multitouch trackpad which even supports gestures.

In addition, RedmiBook runs on the latest Windows 10 operating system. The notebook also comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition. It has good connectivity options as it includes 1xUSB 3.0, 2xUSB 2.0, 1xHDMI, Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a CD-ROM reader.

Xiaomi claims that the RedmiBook 14 is capable of delivering up to 10 hours of long battery life on a single charge. The Windows 10-based RedmiBook 14 has an Intelligent Unlock 2.0 feature that is touted to take 1.2 seconds to unlock the machine from the standby mode.

As for the price, RedmiBook 14 price in China starts from CNY 3,999. for the base variant with Intel Core i5 processor and 256GB SSD storage, while its 512GB SSD model costs CNY 4,299. At last, the top-end model with eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor and 512GB SSD is priced at CNY 4,999.

As for the availability, Xiaomi has said to start the pre-registration for the RedmiBook 14 starting from 12 am local time in China on June 1. However, its sale will begin starting on June 11.
