The Board of Directors of PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Jacqueline Ezeokwelume as the company’s new secretary. Ezeokwelume is set to replace Abiola Laseinde, PZ Cussons’s former secretary whose exit became effective from 31st December 2019.
Ezeokwelume’s appointment was disclosed in a statement signed by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Christos Giannopoulos, and issued to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
Mrs Abiola Laseindc’s exit as the Company Secretary of the Company is with effect from 31 st December 2019.

According to the statement, Ezeokwelume’s appointment became effective on 1st January 2020.
Ezeokwelume joined PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc on 15th February 2019 as the Assistant company secretary. She is a lawyer and owns a corporate commercial law firm in Nigeria. She has previously served as the Company Secretary/General Counsel of CR Services (Credit Bureau) Plc.

The new PZ Cussons company secretary has worked as an Associate in a number of firms which include Nexus Law Practice, Paul Usoro & Co, Ayinde Sanni & Co and Nigerian Airways.

Ezeokwelume has a Law degree as well as a Master of Science degree (MSc) in the Field of Study of Marine Policy from Cardiff University. She also has a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Commercial and Maritime Law from Swansea University.
