Huawei's P40 Series Set to be Announced on March 26

Most Android smartphone manufacturers release two rounds of flagship phones a year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Huawei is no different, introducing the Mate series in the fall, and the P series some time in the March timeframe. Today, CEO Richard Yu confirmed the launch date, as well as the name P40 Pro.

The P40 series will be introduced on March 26, and the event will once again take place in Paris. Yu claims that the P40 Pro will be the "world's most powerful 5G flagship", according to Android Authority.

While we don't know the actual specs of the device, and there haven't been a lot of leaks, it's safe to say that the device will be powered by Huawei's latest flagship in-house processor, the Kirin 990. It's the same one that's found in the Mate 30 Pro, as well as the Mate XS that was announced today.

It's also safe to say that it won't include Google Play apps, being that Google isn't allowed to do business with Huawei for the forseeable future. Instead, it will include Huawei's own app store.
