I Hate Racists – Hollywood Actor John Boyega says

John Boyega has been forced to defend himself after speaking out against ‘white on black racism that has ruined the world’.

After paying tribute to George Floyd, who was killed while being arrested by a white police officer, the Star Wars actor tweeted: ‘I f*****g hate racists’.

He was immediately drawn into a debate by his followers, after a Nigerian man claimed he split from his girlfriend who ‘said she hates whites’.

John fired back: ‘I am talking about WHITE on BLACK racism. The kind that has ruined the world not caused a lil break up with your girlfriend.’

One Twitter user took offence and told him: ‘Ouch man, racism can come from anyone’, to which John shot back: ‘I don’t care. That’s not what I’m talking about.’

When John was told the comment was ‘ignorant’, he tweeted: ‘Are you guys on twitter dedicated to seeing what’s in your head and not what I wrote? Take a break because you’re one of them. As i said you can’t force me to talk about what I’m not talking about. Shut up. (sic)’.

He went on in a further reply: ‘I am being specific to a topic. I am not talking about any other way. Given what is happening right now. So the wise thing for you to do is defo shut up. Do it well too my G.’

Another person urged him not to use the word ‘hate’, to which he replied: ‘I said what I said. Speak for yourself at all times x’.

One further comment read: ‘But is hate the way to win, John? Good luck.’

The actor replied with a GIF of chef Gordon Ramsey saying ‘Oh f**k off’, and when someone told him not ‘hate racism not the racist’, he said simply: ‘My friend be quiet’.

To another follower he shared that he was ‘about to block’ those who were missing the point.

The Attack The Block star had previously spoken about Floyd’s death – which has since sparked protests around the scene of the killing in Minneapolis.

He shared quotes of George’s heartbreaking pleas for his life alongside a caption, which read: ‘George Floyd. So heartbreaking to hear about the continuous cycle of violence aimed at black people by racist cops. Murder charges only.’
