    Nigeria Records 452 New Cases of COVID-19

    As coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage throughout the world, Nigeria's total number of infections has now exceeded 21,000 on Tuesday night.

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 452 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, this brought the nation’s confirmed COVID-19 infection cases to 21,371

    According to the agency via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Tuesday, the total number of fatalities has risen to 533, while 7,338  patients have been discharged after testing negative.

    The NCDC further revealed that the 452 new COVID-19 infections were spread across 13 States and the Federal Capital Territory.
    209 new cases of the virus were reported in Lagos State, while Oyo, Delta and Ogun recorded 67, 37 and 36 respectively.

    FCT reported 22 cases, Abia had 20 cases, Enugu reported 16 cases, Bauchi reported 15 cases. Also Kaduna and Ondo confirmed eight cases each.
    While Osun reported seven cases, Imo and Benue had 3 cases each and Borno with one case.

    Nigeria has so far tested 117,569 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

    On the 23rd of June 2020, 452 new confirmed cases and 8 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
    No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
    Till date, 21,371 cases have been confirmed, 7,338 cases have been discharged and 533 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
