    Nigeria Records 661 New Cases of COVID-19 Infections, 19 More Deaths

    In the latest update of the Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria, 661 new cases have been reported on Saturday  June 20 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
    The new confirmations raised the country’s total cases to 19,808 according to Health Agency.

    NCDC also announced the discharge of 137 patients from isolation centers across the country with 19 new deaths reported.

    NCDC data shows that the new cases were spread across 13 states and Federal Capital Territory.

    Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 230 cases, followed by Rivers with 127 cases, while Delta, FCT and Oyo reported 83, 60, and 51 cases respectively.

    Other state with new cases are as follows: Edo-31 cases, Bayelsa-27 cases, Kaduna-25cases, Plateau-13 cases, Ondo-6 cases, Nasarawa-3 cases, Ekiti-2 cases, Kano-2 cases and Borno-1 cases.

    Nigeria has so far tested 111,052 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

    On the 20th of June 2020, 661 new confirmed cases and 19 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
    No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
    Till date, 19808 cases have been confirmed, 6718 cases have been discharged and 506 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
