The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known via it official Twitter handle late Monday.
In its daily updates, NCDC said the new cases were detected in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The bulk of the new cases were confirmed in Enugu state with 51 cases, followed by Gombe, Lagos and Plateau with 40, 39 and 23 new cases respectively.
Other states with new confirmed cases include: FCT-15, Rivers-12, Kaduna-8, Ondo-3, Bauchi-2, Edo-1 and Ogun-1.
105 patients were discharged from isolation centres. However, COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 1,100 after 2 death were recorded on Monday.
Nigeria has tested 480,874 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.
According to the health agency, on the 21st of September 2020, 195 new confirmed cases and 2 death were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 57,437 cases have been confirmed, 48,674 cases have been discharged and 1,100 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
