With the new confirmed cases on Saturday, a total of 57,145 COVID-19 infections have now been recorded across the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this via its official twitter page.
According to the breakdown of new cases, Lagos topped the list with 70 infections, followed by Plateau with 37, FCT with 24 and Kaduna-19 with 19 cases.
Other states with new COVID-19 infections are Rivers-12, Oyo-5, Ogun-4, Ebonyi-3, Katsina-3, Ondo-3, Osun-3, Imo-2, Yobe-2, Ekiti-1 and Nasarawa-1.
NCDC added that 126 people were discharged, while one person was confirmed to have died of COVID-19 complications on Saturday.
According to the NCDC, on the 19th of September 2020, 189 new confirmed cases and 1 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 57,145 cases have been confirmed, 48,431 cases have been discharged and 1,095 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
