    COVID-19: 101 New Cases, 2 Deaths Reported in Nigeria

    Across the most populous african country, Nigeria Saturday, there were cumulatively 101 new COVID-19 infections and 2 coronavirus related deaths recorded.

    The number is down from the previous day’s report when 113 citizens tested positive.

    Number of people who have recuperated from the disease increased by 219.

    While the number of active cases further dropped and now stands at 10,256

    The total number of people who have contracted the virus in Nigeria has now risen to 162,489, out of which 150,205 people have recovered and have been discharged with the deaths toll stand at 2,041 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    According to the data released by Nigeria  Centre for Disease Control NCDC, the new cases were reported across 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    The breakdown of the new cases state-by-state as follows: Lagos-32, Abia-16, Ebonyi-14, FCT-10, Bayelsa-6, Rivers-6, Bauchi-5, Jigawa-4, Oyo-3, Akwa Ibom-3, Osun-2
