Nigeria on Saturday reported 112 new cases of coronavirus
infection in 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
With the recent addition, the nation’s COVID-19 recovery has increased by 194 on Saturday. Which includes 70 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
Meanwhile, three fatality was confirmed by the health agency
today, with which the country's COVID-19 death toll rose to 2,030.
The health agency via it official website reported that as
of today, the active coronavirus cases in Nigeria stands at 11,846.
The breakdow of the
cases by state shows that Lagos recorded 35 infections, the highest number of
confirmed cases for the day, FCT had 22, Ondo recorded 17 and Kaduna & Ebonyi
confirmed 9 infections each.
Six cases of the virus were found Bauchi, Four cases in Kebbi.
Why Delta, Osun and Jigawa reported two cases each. Borno, Edo, Kano and Nasarawa
also recorded one case each.
As of today, March 20, the country has witnessed 161,651 cases of the coronavirus infection, while 147,775 people have recovered from the disease, and 2,030 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
