The three-time African champions secured their place in the
continental showpiece as a result of the goalless draw between Lesotho and
Sierra Leone in the early kick-off in Group L.
Which rendered Super Eagles clash against Benin Republic
inconsequential as both teams now have an unassailable lead as the two top
teams in the group.
Super Eagles have eight points from four games, the Republic
of Benin have seven points while the Leone Stars and the Crocodiles have four
and three points, respectively, from five games.
Sierra Leone who are third can only finish with six points,
one less than the present tally of Benin Republic with bottom of the table Lesotho
on two points with the chance of finishing with a maximum point of five.
Super Eagles sit top of the group with eight points.
