Woods, who has been recovering at home in Florida since the
February crash left him with multiple leg injuries, shared a photo of him in a
walking boot and using crutches on his golf course with his dog, Bugs, on
Friday afternoon.
In the Instagram post, Woods stood with his dog crouching
beside him.
He wrote: “My course is coming along faster than I am . But
it’s nice to have a faithful rehab partner, man’s best friend”.
Woods was driving early on Feb. 24 in Southern California on
his way to a golf course when his SUV crashed along the side of the road.
Woods, police said earlier this month, was driving between 82-87 miles per hour
in a 45-mph zone at the time of the crash, and that his vehicle struck a tree
at 75 mph.
He was taken to a hospital with severe injuries to his right
leg, and was transferred to another Los Angeles-area hospital before returning
to his Florida home weeks later.
Officials said there was no evidence of Woods being under
the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash, and no citation was
issued. He reportedly has little to no memory of the crash, however.
The timeline for Woods’ recovery is not clear, and it’s
unknown if or when the 82-time PGA Tour winner will be able to compete again.
Though it isn’t much, Friday’s photo of Woods moving around
again is at least a promising sight.
