    COVID-19: 41 New Cases Recorded in Nigeria

    Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC reported no new coronavirus-related deaths Saturday and 41 new infections in 6 states and Federal Capital Territory.

    In the latest update the number of COVID-19 linked deaths remained 2,066 and the confirmed infections moved to 165,702 since Feb 2020 in the West African nation of over  200 million.

    Nigeria currently has 7,224 active cases of COVID-19 up from 7,196 it was the previous day.

    Sixteen of newly recorded infections were found in Lagos, fourteen in Yobe, three cases each in Rivers and FCT, two cases  each in Akwa-Ibom and Bayelsa and Edo reported one case.

    Meanwhile, about 156,412 people had recovered from the disease in Nigeria including 13 recoveries reported in past 24 hours.
