Nigeria reported Sixty-nine new COVID-19 cases in three
states and the Federal Capital Territory. The West Africa country total now stands
at 165,778 on Monday
Monday’s case count is higher than Sunday’s which saw 7 new
infections.
The new case count includes thirty-five cases in Ondo, thirty
in Lagos, three in Rivers and one in FCT.
The death toll in the nation has risen to 2,067, as one more
death relating to the disease were recorded in the past 4 days.
While three people in the nation have recovered after
contracting COVID-19, pushed the total number of recoveries to 156,415.
Nigeria has 7,297 active cases of COVID-19 up from 7,224.
The health authorities noted that, data from Lagos State recorded over the last two days. And data from Ondo State recorded from 27th April to 16th May, 2021.
NCDC disclosed that it had conducted about 2,002,653 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced in the country last year's February 27.
