Nigeria reported zero COVID-19 linked death and twenty-six  new coronavirus cases Thursday.

The new cases were recorded in six states and the Federal Capital Territory, according to an update by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC .

Of the new cases,  thirteen were found in Lagos, four in Kaduna, three in Akwa Ibom, two cases each in Kwara and Rivers, one cases each FCT and Gombe.

While Enugu, Kano, Nasarawa, and Sokoto reported zero cases.

NCDC noted that today’s report includes confirmed cases from Kaduna State for 23rd and 24th June, 2021

The day also saw discharges, after sixteen patients recovered from the disease caused by coronavirus.

Active cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria has increased by 10, now stand at 1,350.

According to the health officials, COVID-19 infections tally in Nigeria reached 167,401 on Thursday, while the death toll from the virus stands at 2,118 and the number of recovered COVID-19 patients is now 163,933 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory as the country continues its fight against the virus infections.
