Nigeria health officials on Wednesday reported 25 new cases
of COVID-19 in 5 states, which comes after officials logged 17 cases on Tuesday
and 203 on Monday.
Of the new cases 10 were found in Lagos, 9 in Taraba, 3 in Kaduna,
2 in Rivers and Kwara reported 1 case.
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, today’s report includes a backlog of data from Taraba State from 21st March, 2021 to date.
Nigeria also added no COVID-19-related deaths in the
previous 24-hour period, the total number of fatalities remained 2,099.
The country deemed 11 more cases of the disease to be resolved as of Wednesday, bringing Nigeria’s number of recovered patients up to 159,946.
Wednesday’s report brings the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Nigeria to 166,560, including deaths and recoveries.
The COVID-19 active caseload is 4,515 which now comprises 2.71 per cent of the total infections.
