    COVID-19: 40 New Cases Recorded in 4 States

    Nigeria health officials confirmed an additional 40 cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total number of active cases to 1,242 across the nation.

    There were no new COVID-19 related death reported on Friday, noting that 96 COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals across the nation.

    With the announcement of the new cases, the tally of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria reached 167,732, the total recoveries rose to 164,369 and the deaths toll remained 2,121, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC via its official Facebook page.

    It stated that the additional infections were from 4 states 

    The breakdown as follows, Lagos-36, Rivers-2, Gombe-1 and Kano-1

    Today’s report includes 8 state with 0 case reported: Ekiti, FCT, Imo, Kaduna,Nasarawa, Oyo, Plateau, and Sokoto.
