    Nigeria Logs 2 Deaths, 213 New COVID-19 Cases

    Nigeria  reported 213 new cases of COVID-19 and the deaths of two more people with the illness on Monday.

    With the new update, COVID-19 cases in Nigeria rose to 171,324 and the deaths toll stand at 2,134.

    There were less resolved cases than new cases.

    Meanwhile, 164,798 Nigeria residents were reported to have recovered from COVID-19, which is just over 96.3 per cent of known cases. Resolved cases increased by nine in the past 24 hours.

    According to Monday’s report, 157 cases were recorded in Lagos, 20 in Rivers and 12 in Plateau.

    Six cases each were reported in Enugu and Oyo, Gombe had three, Bauchi, Imo and Kaduna reported two cases each. Edo, Ekiti and Ogun had one case each.

    Today's report includes 0 cases from Nasarawa, Sokoto and Ondo States

    Active cases in Nigeria now stand at 4,382.

    About 37,956 additional tests were completed within a week. Nigeria has now conducted a total of 2,439,850 tests since the beginning of the pandemic
