    Nigeria Reports 210 Fresh COVID-19 Cases, Two Deaths

    Nigeria on Thursday reported two coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, according to a report by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC.

    The health officials also reports 210 new cases of COVID-19 and 282 recoveries on Saturday, as the number of active cases in the country rises to 9,098.

    Health officials say the new cases were identified in 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    Seventy-nine of the new case was identified in Lagos, the most affected state by COVID-19 in Nigeria.

    Followed by Edo, Anambra, Rivers and Ondo with 20, 19, 18 and 15 cases respectively.

    Gombe recorded 14 cases of the virus, Oyo had 13 and Kaduna reported 11 cases.

    Ekiti had eight cases, Delta recorded six and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory reported five cases. Bayelsa and Kano reported one case each on Saturday.

    Today's report includes zero cases from Benue, Kano, Nasarawa, Plateau, Sokoto and Zamfara States, NCDC stated.

    According to the NCDC’s online COVID-19 dashboard, there have been 204,201 cumulative COVID-19 cases in Nigeria. Of those, 192,421 people have recovered and 2,673 have died due to COVID-19.
