    Nigeria Reports Two COVID-19 Deaths, 377 New Cases

    Nigeria saw an increase of 377 new COVID-19 cases across 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory in the last 24 hours.

    The latest data released by the health officials shows that, Lagos, the most affected regional state reported 70 cases, while FCT, Kaduna, Edo and Rivers reported 67, 38, 36 and 28 respectively.

    Other includes Delta-23, Kwara-22, Ondo-18, Plateau-17, Oyo-16, Benue-12, Ekiti-10, Gombe-8, Kano-7, Imo-3 and Jigawa-2.

    The figures raised overall coronavirus tally in the country to 203,081, according to the data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC.

    Nigeria’s active caseload has now mounted to 8,806 with active cases up by 121 in the last 24 hours.

    An additional 231 patients have beaten the coronavirus disease COVID-19, pushing the country's overall recovery count to 191,601.

    However two more patient succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, raising the nationwide death toll to 2,666.

    NCDC noted that today's report includes, backlog of 2 confirmed case for Jigawa for 16th September 2021

    Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun and Sokoto states on Wednesday reported no cases of the virus.
