Nigeria health officials logged 72 new COVID-19 cases with no  coronavirus related death on Friday in 9 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

With today's figures, the data shared by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC saw the caseload reached 252,912, and the death toll remained 3,134 since the outbreak of the pandemic

Along with that, Nigeria also recorded 228 recoveries in the same period, while the number of active cases declined to 21,165.

The health officials data revealed that 228,632 Nigeria residents have been successfully treated and discharged nationwide.

The breakdown of the latest COVID-19 figure state-by-state is as follows Lagos-22, FCT-13, Rivers-8, Oyo-7, Yobe-7, Osun-6, Delta-3, Kaduna-3, Nasarawa-2 and Kano-1.
