Theme & Date:
The Body, today, Tuesday, February 22, 2022, said, it plans
to host the 5th edition of the Annual Agile Nigeria Conference 2022, themed
“Continuous Improvement Strategies” from Tuesday 1st – Wednesday 2nd March 2022
at Radisson Blu Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking during a press conference, Mrs. Abiodun Osoba, the
Chairperson, the Agile Practitioner Association of Nigeria, confirmed that this
year’s conference would be a hybrid event (Physical and Virtual) and that
participants can expect exciting and fully packed sessions, with no fewer than
30 seasoned subject matter experts from within and outside of Nigeria as
speakers.
The Agile Nigeria conferences are fun, super-creative,
focused on bringing value to all her participants and this year’s conference
will not be different.
Osoba said it was in view of the period’s global realities
brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic that the association made last year’s
conference a virtual event and it turned out a huge success.
For this year’s conference, she revealed that the event
organizer decided to make the conference a hybrid event due to the restriction
that has been lifted in most countries to enable attendees to partake either
virtually or physically, adding also that all COVID-19 protocols will be
observed for the safety of its members, expert facilitators and other
participants who will be physically attending.
“So, whether you’re with us in Lagos or joining from across
the globe, you’ll have the chance to learn from experts, connect with the
community, and leave inspired”, she assured.
The Chairperson expressed confidence at the ample
opportunities and benefits the conference presents to everyone, most especially
the participants in terms of improved levels of engagement, meaningful
deliberations and discussions, real-time Q&A, amongst others.
Osoba added that the forthcoming 5th edition of the Agile
Nigeria Conference, comes on the heels of the hugely successful 4th edition
held last year from Monday, 1st – Wednesday, 3rd March 2021 which was online
and attracted over 100 executives, managers, software developers and
researchers from over four countries who gathered to hear from recognized
experts, authors, innovators and practitioners who offered their unique
insight.
This year’s event will not be different from the previous
editions aimed at seeking emerging opportunities, growing appetite, and further
driving the evolution of Agile in Nigeria.
“We will be introducing the Agile Games Night where
participants will learn how Agile works through Agile Games Simulations. It
promises to be an evening of fun” she stated.
The annual Agile Nigeria Conference is dedicated to
furthering Agile principles and providing a veritable avenue for people and
ideas to flourish.
The main conclusions of the Agile Conference will be
reflected and incorporated into the declaration of how Agile will help
transform workplaces, businesses, and services as well as the adoption of Agile
frameworks by the participants at the Conference.
She stated that the two-day conference is targeted at
individuals seeking professional development and aspiring to broaden their
horizons in areas such as Agile leadership, Change Management, Agile Mind-Sets,
Systems Thinking, and Agile Product Development amongst others.
The Agile Practitioners Association of Nigeria understands that Nigeria needs transformation in both the private and public sectors. This much-desired change can be achieved using the Agile Methodology, which allows a paradigm shift towards an innovative and problem-solving mindset.
Driven by market needs, customer expectations, and evolving
technological innovation, today’s constantly changing business environment is
forcing companies to adopt the Agile models of management and corporate
governance—or risk being left behind.
