The chairman of JCNC, Comrade Hector Nnadi in chat with
newsmen, explained, that with the level of technology around the globe, the
aviation sector can not afford to be left behind in the quest to reposition it
with adequate automation of all points.
Nnadi said, the gains of an automated system in the aviation
industry can not be undermined as the issue of digitalization remained a global
thing.
He noted that the ministry of communication has adopted it
as their road map adding, that there was no industry that was not going digital
now.
He noted that automation in form of digitalization was very
paramount in the aviation sector to complement the work of a personnel.
Nnadi, explained, that full automated aviation systems will
take adequate care of safety and security systems in the aviation sector
especially these days when people gain access to the restricted areas in airports without hassle
will be curbed.
“In these days when people gain access to the areas that are
restricted in the airport without much hassles, if there is access control
which forms part of personnel automation, some of those things will be curbed”
Nnadi applauded that the minister of aviation Senator Hadi
Sirika on his stand on Emirates airlines on the issue of BASA.
On his assessment of the aviation industry and the gradual
recovery after Covid 19, the chairman said, the industry was picking up with
government playing significant role with the available resources but not enough
when compared to what was obtained outside.
Meanwhile, Comrade Nnadi has released details of the 9th
edition of Aviation workers week and awards night.
According to Nnadi, the awards which will take place at the
Shehu Musa Ya’Adua Centre on 3rd of March 2022 on the Joint Consultative and
Negotiating Council (JCNC) has its theme as “The gains of an Automated
personnel management system in the aviation sector”
He explained that the as an annual program, the event
started over nine years ago with the aim of gathering aviators across the
country to deliberate on burning issues affecting the industry
