PSG wants Galtier to take over as manager
at Le Parc des Princes in place of Mauricio Pochettino.
The French Ligue 1 champions turned to
Galtier after being turned down by Zinedine Zidane, who has his sights set on
the French national team job.
According to Le Parisien, PSG has agreed to
sign Galtier for just under 10 million euros with Nice.
The announcement comes after PSG and
Pochettino agreed to part ways, with the French newspaper reporting that the
move will cost them a total of 15 million euros.
While Pochettino’s departure has not been
confirmed, an announcement could come as early as next week, but only after
they confirm Galtier’s signature.
Luis Campos, the new PSG football advisor,
is no stranger to Galtier.
During their time at Lille, both men won
the Ligue 1 title in 2020/21, shocking many by defeating PSG to the top spot.
