iPhone 14 Pro received reward for “Best Smartphone”, beating
out the Google Pixel 7 Pro, Nothing Phone (1), Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold
4, which were also considered for the award.
The GSMA states that “The Best Smartphone award brings
together outstanding performance, innovation and leadership as determined by
evaluating smartphones introduced to the market between January 2022 and
December 2022 by the world’s leading independent analysts, journalists and
influencers.”
The Cupertino-based tech giant has received another Innovative Device award for its pioneering feature “Emergency call – SOS via satellite» on iPhone 14 Pro models.
It allows users of the device to send emergency messages from
remote locations where there is no cellular coverage, without special
equipment. In the Innovative Devices category, Google’s Tensor 2 chip, Qualcomm
Snapdragon, and Sony’s IMX989 camera sensor also competed for the award.
TCL Mobile's NXTWEAR S is 2022's "Best Connected Consumer Device"
TCL Mobile won GLOMO's "Best Connected Consumer
Device" award for NXTWEAR S XR glasses.
The award honors a commonplace consumer electronic
tool/gadget that offers the user innovative/clever functionality at home and
while on the go.
Open to all organizations, this award requires a video
submission.
The Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro, LMT, Galaxy Watch5 Pro, NXTWEAR
S, and Vasco Translator V4 were shortlisted.
The NXTWEARS was introduced by TCL Mobile last year.
The product has Sony-manufactured micro-OLED display panels
with Full-HD resolution, jointly showing a 130-inch screen (with both 2D/3D
content) at about 13 feet away.
It offers multi-device compatibility and knobs for
volume/screen brightness.
The wearable gets a pair of open-ear speakers (on each glass
