A wave of online reactions has followed the circulation of a private video involving social media personality Eniola Fagbemi, widely known as Sisi Alagbo, prompting a public apology and raising concerns about the impact of digital exposure on individuals.

The Oyo-based herbal vendor addressed the controversy in a Facebook post on Wednesday, acknowledging responsibility and expressing regret over the incident.

“I own my mistakes, and I apologise with all sincerity for the video circulating online,” she wrote. “I am deeply sorry to everyone who felt disappointed in me.”

The apology comes amid intense scrutiny and criticism across social media platforms, where the video has continued to gain traction. While details surrounding the leak remain unclear, the situation has once again highlighted issues around privacy breaches and the rapid spread of sensitive content online.

Beyond her public apology, Sisi Alagbo opened up about the emotional strain the episode has placed on her, describing significant disruptions to her mental and physical well-being.

“I am already passing through a lot. I can’t eat or sleep for days. Even sleeping medicines aren’t working for me any longer,” she said.

Her statement also included a direct appeal to the public for compassion, as she hinted at the severity of the distress she is experiencing.

“Please forgive me. I don’t want to injure myself. I only have a little strength left.”

The incident adds to a growing number of cases involving Nigerian influencers facing reputational damage following the release of private or explicit content online. Experts have repeatedly warned about the psychological toll such exposure can have, particularly in an era where digital content spreads rapidly and remains difficult to contain.

While reactions remain mixed, with some users expressing sympathy and others continuing criticism, the situation underscores broader conversations about accountability, online harassment, and the need for stronger digital privacy protections.
