OIC Strongly Condemns Attack on the African Union Peacekeeping Forces in Somalia

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemns the attack on the Ugandan peacekeeping forces deployed in Bulo Marir, Somalia, as part of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).

H.E. the OIC Secretary-General, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, expressed his strong condemnation of this heinous operation. He offered his condolences to the families of the victims, the Ugandan government and the African Union, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
The Secretary-General reiterated the OIC's condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and its support for the efforts of the Somali government to confront and combat it, and for the efforts of the African Union to promote peace and stability in Somalia.
