Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, performed at the coronation concert of King Charles III at Windsor Castle on Sunday evening.
The coronation of King Charles was held on Saturday at
Westminster Abbey, England.
She impressed the audience with her rendition of “Keys to
the Kingdom,” a song she created with Mr. Eazi and included on Beyoncé’s album
“The Lion King.”
Recall that American top singer, Beyoncé featured Tiwa
Savage and Mr Eazi on the aforesaid song in The Lion King album.
Dressed in a green gown designed by Lanre Da Silva, Savage took the stage with an orchestra that featured violinists, drummers, and support vocalists who sang in Yoruba.
In addition to Tiwa Savage, the concert included
performances by Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Take That, Freya Ridings, Alexis
French, Andrea Bocelli, and Sir Bryn Terfel.
Lionel Richie’s song All Night Long got the royals up
dancing, with the Duchess of Edinburgh showing off her moves. After Lionel’s
performance, Prince William took to the stage to share a touching tribute to
his “Pa” in a moving speech, before the crowd sang the national anthem.
