OIC: New Issue of “OIC Journal” Published

The 52nd issue of the (OIC Journal) was published by the General Secretariat of the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The new issue of the OIC Journal, published in the three languages: Arabic, English and French, includes many important issues that the OIC addresses, the most prominent of which is the convening of the 49th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Nouakchott, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, last March, which included political, economic, cultural, humanitarian and scientific issues and other files undertaken by the OIC.

This issue 52 of the OIC Journal also dealt with the Palestinian cause, as it coincided with a difficult period that the Palestinian territory went through since last January. During the first third of this year, the OIC held four extraordinary meetings to discuss the Israeli attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the innocent citizens in the various Palestinian towns and villages.

The 52nd issue of the OIC Journal also included many important issues, including the efforts made by the OIC in the context of the outbreak of the military crisis in Sudan, and its endeavour to contain the fighting in that country by holding an extraordinary meeting at the OIC headquarters last May, in addition to a special file on the devastating earthquake that struck both the Republic of Turkey and Syria last February, and other humanitarian and cultural issues and issues of Muslim communities, as well as the commemoration of the first anniversary of designating 15 March of each year as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.

The issue 52 of the OIC Journal also tackled scientific, historical and heritage issues along with the latest news of the affiliated, subsidiary and specialized organs operating under the umbrella of the OIC, in addition to a number of articles and special reports.
