The Advisor to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), on all matters of Security, Office of the Legal Attaché, United States Embassy Abuja, Jim-Oscar Segun Osemeka, and his wife, Ifeyinwa, will on December 9, 2023, be conferred with the prestigious International Leadership Manpower and Management Development, ILMMAD, award of Doctorate of Philosophy (Honours Causa).
Osemaka and the wife will be conferred with the award at a
ceremony that will hold at at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama,
Abuja
in recognition of their illustrious contributions to the
growth and development of ILMMAD and humanity.
ILMMAD is an affiliate of the institute of International
Leadership Manpower and Management Development (ILMMAD), England and Wales.
According to the Dean and Director, Membership Services,
ILMMAD, Dr. Theophilus Cornerstone Okonofua, the Award to be conferred on
Osemeka and the wife represents the highest level of professional and National
and International recognition by the Institute conferred on individuals with
remarkable accomplishments and notable contributions to the society.
Osemeka is a renowned security expert and analyst and the
first non-American to be recruited by the Department of Justice / Federal
Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an Investigator in Africa.
He is the most decorated law enforcement liaison Coordinator
at the US Embassy in Nigeria.
Osemeka was enlisted into the Department of State Services,
otherwise known as State Security Service (SSS), as a cadet officer in 2009 for
Cadet Officers Basic Course (COBC) 24, and was commissioned as Senior
Intelligence Officer II on November 15, 2009.
In his hunger for more challenges, and quest for
international experience in security matters, he retired voluntarily in July
2016, from the SSS after completing several covert and overt counter terrorism
and counter intelligence operations and kidnapping for ransom investigations.
He was commended for his astuteness and intelligence in his
department with a commendation letter for superior performance from the then
Director General of the SSS.
Jim-Oscar Segun was then recruited by the Department of
Justice / Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as the first non-American
Investigator in Africa. He continued his superlative performances in counter
terrorism and hostage rescue investigations at the FBI.
His achievements and accomplishments endeared him to higher
honours and several awards from the FBI and the United States Embassy in Abuja.
Thus, Oseloka has built a reputation over the years as a
hard-hitting sleuth, and counter-intelligence analyst, with specialty in a
counter terrorism and counter kidnapping operations.
Aside being an Investigator, he is also FBI specialist for
inter-governmental affairs management and Law Enforcement partnership across
Nigeria’s Security and Counter Intelligence Agencies, Financial Crime Agencies
and the Federal Ministry of Justice.
He is a graduate of Public Administration (BPA), from
Ambrose Ali University Ekpoma, Edo State and a Certified Fraud Examiner, (CFE)
and a Fellow Cooperate Administration Institute (FCAI).
He was born in Shogunle, Lagos State Nigeria, on April 22,
1980, to a humble family of Abayomi Oscar Osemeka.
Jim-Oscar Segun attended Makun Local Government Primary
School, Shagamu Ogun State and Remo Secondary School, Shagamu Ogun State, where
he obtained secondary school leaving school certificate 1994/95.
A detribalized Nigerian, Jim-Oscar Segun hails from Onitsha
North Local Government Area of Anambra State and speaks Nigeria’s three major
languages of Yoruba, Hausa and Ibo, fluently.
He is an author of several books including the most recent
one: Strategic Leadership: The Bichi Style.
Oscar-Osemeka’s wife, Ifeyinwa Jennifer, is the founder of
Singles and Married Connect and Women Living the Faith Life International, a
platform she has used to help thousands of Nigerians to restore their marital
lives and homes.
A woman who believes that a good home will help create a
better environment and raise godly families, Jennifer also teaches on faith and
has been able to raise countless numbers of women through her teachings.
She is the author of ‘Living the faith life’.
She was born on June 1, 1989 in Ndokwa East, Local
Government Area of Delta State.
She attended the institute of marriage & family Affairs,
USA, and she is a certified Marriage mentor & relationship coach.
She also attended National Open university of Nigeria.
She is a holder of Post Graduate Diploma and Master of
Science degrees in Mass communication.
Jennifer began working fully as Relationship Coach in 2018.
She joined the Guarantee Trust Bank [GTB PLC], in March 2014
and resigned in November 2016.
She also worked as a Training Officer at Independent
National Electoral Commission, INEC, Imo State Headquarter, where she served
her mandatory one NYSC.
She was however, appointed as INEC AD-HOC Staff in April
2011 and had her Industrial attachment at Small and Medium Enterprise
Development Agency of Nigeria, (SMEDAN) Head Office Abuja, in the Corporate
Affairs Unit in January 2007 to October, 2018.
Jennifer will also be inducted as the Distinguished Fellow
and Lifetime Member of ILMMAD at the occasion.
With the awards, Oscar and the wife will join many
illustrious Nigerians already recognised by ILMMAD in their distinguish
category in Nigeria and outside the country.
