    Emotions are on High Over Viva Detergent's Short film, “A Fresh Start”

    Viva detergent, in its powerful short film on YouTube starring Nancy Isime illuminates the incredible resilience of single mothers and the importance of community support. Single mothers are often unfairly judged, stigmatised, and weighed down by societal expectations.

    It takes two to create a life, yet the burden of that life often falls heavily on one pair of shoulders.

    Viva Detergent, a product of Aspira Nigeria renowned for manufacturing high-quality household products such as detergents and dishwashing liquids, recently premiered its short film, “A Fresh Start”.

    The movie has garnered widespread accolades nationwide for its impactful storytelling as it invokes conversations around underprivileged single mothers and their struggles.

    Through Nancy Isime’s portrayal of a struggling mother and the comedic brilliance of Brainjotter, the short film highlights the importance of family and new beginnings as it sheds light on the challenges single mothers with low or no incomes face.

    The film weaves a powerful narrative around second chances and clean slates. The impactful message culminates in a poignant scene where Nancy faints and her family rushes to her side, visually demonstrating the truth: no one should have to carry the weight of life alone.

    "It takes a village to raise a child," the old saying goes. This truth resonates beautifully in the story of a single mother who eventually stepped in to offer relief and support.

    Since its release, the short film has sustained a remarkable buzz, igniting emotional conversations and prompting relatable stories across social media platforms. The public has consistently applauded Viva for its innovative approach, commended the brand for shedding light on social issues in a highly creative and impactful manner.

    The online premiere, conducted via Zoom, on the 28th of January,2024, witnessed an impressive turnout of distinguished celebrities, influencers, and women’s communities. Notable attendees included Wathoni, Inedoye Kuti, Pamilerin Adegoke, Anto Lecky, Latasha Ngwube, Nkem Nwudiwe, Comfort Booth, Powede, Abikeshuga, Fabmum, Omoye Cooks, Workingmumdiary, among others.

    Lynda Aguocha, the Head of Advertising and PR at Aspira, expressed sincere gratitude for the notable attendance, highlighting Viva’s unwavering commitment to innovation and customer care. Aguocha remarked,

    The short movie “A Fresh Start” is now available online on the brand’s social media pages. In addition to the film premiere, Viva plans to roll out exciting activities to help support the underprivileged especially those that are single mothers to get #AFreshStart.

    Meanwhile, in real life, Viva offered a mother, Blessing Chukwuma, not just financial support to raise her child and grow her business but also a symbol of hope and community.

    At the virtual screening, a Viva representative emphasized the brand's commitment to supporting community heroes, the brand is going beyond cleaning clothes to providing clean slates and fresh starts through cash prizes.
