SA’s Globally Renowned Artist, Daniel Popper, Brings Sunset Inspired Sculpture to Cape Town’s Shores

Daniel Popper’s latest collaboration with Corona Sunsets Festival World Tour, inspires a sense of harmony and unity between humanity and the natural world.

When festivalgoers arrive at the Corona Sunsets Festival World Tour at the Glen Country Club, Clifton, Cape Town on April 6, one of the first things they will see is “Nature’s Goddess”, an extraordinary, jaw-dropping new sculpture from world-renowned South African sculptor, Daniel Popper.

Commissioned by Corona especially for the Corona Sunsets Festival World Tour, the 5-metres high, wood sculpture evokes a sense of harmony and unity between humanity and the natural world, representing a deep connection and reverence for the environment.

“Corona Sunsets' “Nature’s Goddess” symbolizes a form of communion with nature, suggesting that through such connection, individuals can tap into a profound inner peace and wisdom. The use of wood as the material adds an earthy and organic element, emphasizing that we humans are part of nature and not separate from it,” says Johannesburg born artist, Daniel Popper.

Using a range of different materials, Popper’s spectacular, spiritual and impressive large-scale art installations can be seen around the world, from, amongst others, Tulum, Mexico, to Las Vegas and Miami in the USA, as well as in Mvezo, Eastern Cape, where his Nelson Mandela Tree of Wisdom, was created for the Nelson Mandela School of Science and Technology.
