Drake is not impressed by the barbaric bars that Kendrick Lamar has thrown at him.
The boy barely flinched from all the hate-filled punchlines
about the Compton native’s long-awaited speech diss track “Euphoria.” After his
other enemies shared their responses After the surprise song, Drake couldn’t
resist trolling his nemesis on social media. He took to his Instagram Story
late Tuesday night, April 30, and insulted Lamar by posting an infamous Julia
Stiles monologue from the 1999 film. 10 things I hate about you. The clip was
meant to mock the part in Lamar’s verse where he lists the things he hates
about Drake, but it looks like Drizzy missed the point.
In the song, Lamar raps, “It was always about love and hate,
now let me say I’m the biggest hater/I hate the way you walk, the way you talk,
I hate the way you dress/I hate the way you walk. I hate the way you secretly
diss, if I run it will be direct. The text seems to be a nod to DMXing infamous
moment The breakfast club in 2012. During a discussion about his favorite
lyricists, X stated that he didn’t like Drake and listed the various reasons
why.
“I don’t like anything about Drake,” X said at the time. “I
don’t like his damn voice. I don’t like the things he talks about. I don’t like
his face. I don’t like the way he walks. Nothing. I don’t like his haircut.”
Drake may have posted the clip for laughs, but fans
immediately suspected that Lamar’s bars had gone completely over his head. The
hateful lyrics were among several other vile lyrics spread throughout the
six-minute diss track. Besides Drake, other artists love it too Lil Yachty,
Sexy red, Gunna and the OVO crew all caught stray shots.
Despite all the hate, Drizzy is ready to fire back.
According to his friend DJ AkademiksDrake is preparing his next diss track “Hi
Whitney,” which is an obvious reference to Lamar’s wife.
“He literally said, ‘If you think this is fire, you have no
idea what’s in store for me,’” Ak explained.
