Renowned vocalist, Tiwa Savage, revealed that the prominent rapper, Olamide Adedeji, declined an offer of N100 million for a verse in her song.
On Wednesday, Tiwa shared on her Instagram page that
Olamide, the proprietor of the YBNL record label, declined the payment after
his management invoiced her.
She mentioned that Olamide did not charge her due to his
understanding of the challenges faced by female artists in the music industry.
Regarding their close relationship, Tiwa expressed her
gratitude for the rapper’s consistently supportive and caring demeanor towards
her.
“I was talking to his management, I did not want to talk to
him directly because he would want to do it for free. I was willing to pay and
his team charged me N100m. When Olamide asked them who the artiste was, he just
said NO. He won’t take it.
“He said I’m his sister and he knows how difficult it is for
a woman to make it in the industry. And guess what? He gave the verse for free.
Good people exist and Baddo is one,” she said.
