Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global leader in consumer electronics, has introduced its most recent foldable smartphones. The flagship model boasts a lighter and slimmer design, while also incorporating advanced AI capabilities.

These devices, namely the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, in conjunction with the Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro, are poised to provide formidable competition to Apple’s prevailing influence within the premium market segment.

Samsung has also introduced cutting-edge health monitoring capabilities, which are anticipated to increase demand for accessories such as its smartwatch and a novel smart ring designed for user-friendly health monitoring and screen management.

In a recent statement, the President and Head of the Mobile Experience Business at Samsung Electronics, TM Roh, highlighted Samsung’s extensive history of innovation as a driving force behind its leadership in the mobile industry. He emphasized the company's pioneering role in introducing the foldable form factor and ushering in the era of mobile AI.

“Now, we are excited to bring these two complementary technologies together and unlock new possibilities for users around the world. Our foldables meet the unique needs of every user, and now enhanced by the power of Galaxy AI, Samsung is delivering an experience like never before,” Roh declared.

With the launch of the new Galaxy Z series, Samsung asserted that it was initiating the next phase of Galaxy AI by utilizing its most adaptable and versatile form factor, which is ideally suited to facilitate a variety of distinctive mobile experiences.

“In the era of AI, Samsung’s commitment to empowering you with choice over your device settings is stronger than ever, which is why you have full control over how you allow your data to enhance AI experiences through Galaxy AI settings.

“As an added layer of protection, Enhanced Data Protection offers end-to-end encryption when you backup, sync or restore your data with Samsung Cloud,” the company stated.

Samsung highlights its artificial intelligence capabilities.

The leading smartphone manufacturers have been emphasizing the artificial intelligence capabilities of their devices in the current year. This strategy aims to leverage the growing interest in AI technology and provide consumers with compelling reasons to invest in higher-priced handsets.

One significant trend that Samsung seeks to capitalize on is the growing willingness of consumers to invest in higher-priced mobile devices.

Simultaneously, Samsung encounters intensifying competition within the foldable smartphone market, a segment they pioneered in 2019.

Some of the prominent AI capabilities Samsung discussed include:

  • Translation features: The Samsung Z Fold6 introduces an innovative "Interpreter" mode. This feature enables users to partially fold the device, allowing for simultaneous utilization of both the rear and internal screens. When two individuals engage in a conversation using different languages, the screen conveniently translates the dialogue, displaying the appropriate language to each user based on their respective screen view.
  • Live Translation: Samsung's innovative live translation feature, initially introduced within its native phone application, is now being extended to encompass third-party applications, including the widely popular WhatsApp.
  • Suggested Replies: The Z Flip6 will propose a response that aligns with the user's communication style, eliminating the need to manually type a reply..

But it was only in January that Samsung launched its flagship S24 series debuting AI features. Analysts have questioned if the phones have enough appeal to get people to spend on an upgrade.


Galaxy Buds3 Series: Enhancing the Interconnected Ecosystem via Galaxy AI

Leveraging the capabilities of Galaxy AI, the Galaxy Buds3 series introduces a novel communication experience. When attending a class conducted in a foreign language, users can activate the Interpreter feature within Listening mode on the Galaxy Z Fold6 or Flip6 while utilizing the Galaxy Buds3 series.

In addition to delivering a superior audio experience, the Galaxy Buds3 series embodies a commitment to sustainability, aiming to achieve more with less for both individuals and the environment.

Availability

The Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and Galaxy Buds3 series will be available for pre-order from July 10, with general availability starting July 24.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 comes in Silver Shadow, Pink, and Navy, while the Galaxy Z Flip6 is also available in Silver Shadow, Yellow, Blue, and Mint color options to suit your preferences. The Galaxy Buds3 series features a sleek, contemporary, and comfortable design in two colors, Silver and White.

Furthermore, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer elucidated that these devices were constructed on the bedrock of Samsung’s legacy of innovation.
