Renowned Nigerian dancer and singer Korra Obidi, based in the United States, has successfully obtained a permanent restraining order against her estranged spouse, Justin Dean.

Nancy, Korra's sister, announced this development in an Instagram post on Wednesday, indicating that the order was issued following an extensive legal struggle. The marriage between Obidi and Dean ended in 2022 amid accusations of infidelity.

Furthermore, a court document dated January 19, 2022, prohibited both Korra and her former husband from posting images and videos of their children, June and Athena Dean, online.

In June 2023, Korra expressed her distress on social media regarding anonymous reports made to Child Protective Services (CPS), alleging that she was mistreating her children.

In her Instagram update, Nancy elaborated on claims of harassment, exploitation, and defamation directed at Justin and an associate, who purportedly disseminated private content involving their children.

“Dear IG fam. How are you doing? I have never brought this issue here but I’m too excited and I want to share this.

“Today, my sister @korraobidi secured permanent restraining order against her Facebook stalker. This stalker defamed, harassed and threatened her for over 2 years on Facebook.

“It does not end there, this stalker befriended my sister’s ex. He invited her to his house and while she was there, she took pictures and videos of my sister’s children unclad right in their father’s bathroom.

“He permitted this stalker to share the clips and photos with a group of racists in exchange for monetary gains.

“So far, my sister has spent almost $200,000 fighting for her right to be in her children’s life. Today was the first of several hearings. She has taken him to court to get back her right to motherhood. We are happy it’s off to a great start. The stalker can no longer bully her online or come 100 yards near her and her children.

“I’m grateful to God for my sister. She escaped, not a lot of people are that lucky. Now she’ll fight for her TOTAL FREEDOM.”

It has been noted that Korra Obidi publicly admitted to infidelity concerning her estranged husband. In a 2022 interview, she revealed that she had cheated on her spouse while in Nigeria prior to relocating to the United States to join him.

During another discussion with News Central, the mother of two articulated that her decision to confess stemmed from a desire to avoid living with the burden of secrecy.

She expressed no regret regarding her admission, emphasizing that it led to significant revelations. Dean, her husband, had previously accused her of infidelity, narcissism, and a lack of accountability, which he cited as reasons for their divorce. He also alleged that her private life was named after a nightclub.

In one of his social media posts, he expressed regret to fans who believed they had a flawless marriage, asserting that social media metrics should not define a marital relationship.

Korra and Dean were married in 2018 and share two children; however, their marriage ended in March 2022.

Shortly after their separation, Obidi accused her former spouse of misappropriating $5,000 from their joint account. In November 2022, she further claimed that Dean sought spousal support from her.

Last year, Obidi stated that she had contributed half of her bride price and alleged that she paid Dean $50,000 to facilitate visitation with their children.

Conversely, Dean accused his ex-wife in July of damaging his reputation, claiming that her actions had caused him distress and depression.
