Barcelona midfielder Gavi Páez participated in training with his teammates for the first time in ten months, following surgery to address a torn ACL, as announced by the club on Thursday.

The 20-year-old Gavi sustained this significant injury to his right leg last November during a European Championship qualifier. At that point, he was considered one of Spain's key players, having represented the nation in the 2022 World Cup.

Although Spain secured victory in Euro 2024 without his presence, his comeback is expected to provide a substantial advantage for Barcelona.

The club has yet to specify when Gavi might receive medical clearance to resume competitive play.
