The show, which is currently in its ninth season, has drawn contestants from various backgrounds and regions of society, including the north, despite its contentious nature. Katung Aduwak

Katung Aduwak originates from Zonkwa in Kaduna State and holds a degree in Political Science. He emerged as the champion of the inaugural season of the show, winning a cash prize of $100,000.

His triumph represented a pivotal moment in his life, as his strategic gameplay and genuine personality allowed him to surpass all 14 contestants, including notable figures like Gideon Okeke and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

After his victory, Katung furthered his education at the Digital Film Academy in New York, where he obtained a degree in cinematography. Upon returning to Nigeria, he quickly made a name for himself in the media sector, taking on significant roles such as Chief Marketing Officer at Chocolate City, Senior Channel Manager at MTV Base, and CEO of One Eight Media.

He also produced a documentary series titled ‘Perception: A Nigerian Narrative’, which premiered on October 1.

Diane Russet

Diane Yashim, better known as Diane Russet, has transitioned from a reality TV personality to a multifaceted filmmaker, actor, producer, and entrepreneur.

She rose to prominence as a contestant on Big Brother Naija Season 4 in 2019 and has since made significant advancements in the film industry, particularly with her drama series ‘Ricordi’, which won the award for Best Original Drama Series at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. In addition to her work in film, she co-founded the Kaduna Food Bank.

Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Diane relocated to Kaduna State at the age of two.

Following her time on the show, she has produced and starred in various short films and series, including ‘Therapist’, ‘Bayi’, ‘Storm’, and ‘Mo and Mel’.

Her series ‘Ricordi’ featured the controversial politician Senator Dino Melaye and addressed important social issues and health concerns.

In 2022, she received nominations for her film ‘Bayi’ at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, while ‘Mo x Mel’ was nominated for the Nxt Awards. Prior to her film career, she appeared as a video vixen in Chike’s 2020 music video ‘If You No Love’.

The Individual in question debuted a novel web series entitled ‘Dear Diane’ in January of 2024.

Beauty Tukura

Beauty Tukura is a distinguished former beauty queen, attorney, and past contestant on Big Brother Naija (BBN) hailing from Taraba State. As the youngest of four siblings, she represented her state in the 43rd Miss Nigeria pageant at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos in 2019, ultimately earning the title of 43rd Miss Nigeria.

Prior to this achievement, she was crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Taraba State. In 2022, she took part in the seventh season of BBN but was disqualified after two weeks due to a breach of the show's regulations following an altercation with another contestant.

In addition to her entertainment career, Tukura is an entrepreneur who operates an online business named StylishBeauty, specializing in branded designer products. She is also committed to humanitarian efforts; in 2020, she established the Girls Lead Club, an initiative focused on empowering underprivileged teenagers and young women to pursue their aspirations.

Recognized for her fashion sense, she received the 'Best Dressed Female' award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024.

Aisha Umaru (Kaisha)

Aisha Umaru, widely known as Kaisha, was a participant in the fifth season of Big Brother Naija, referred to as the 'Lockdown Edition' in 2020.

During her stay in the house, she became the fifth housemate to be evicted, a decision that sparked significant online debate and led to the trending hashtag #JusticeForKaisha, as many fans expressed their disagreement with the eviction twist. Umaru, originally from Sokoto State, comes from a culturally diverse family; her father is a prominent figure in Sokoto, while her mother is from Imo State.

During her time in the house, Kaisha formed close friendships, especially with Dorathy, while also experiencing conflicts, particularly with Nengi. Their disputes often included personal insults that nearly escalated to physical confrontations, showcasing a more intense aspect of Kaisha's personality. Additionally, she revealed her romantic interest in fellow contestant Neo.

As the sole female Hausa participant in the house at that time, Kaisha encountered criticism from the Muslim community regarding her involvement in a program perceived by many as endorsing nudity and suggestive behavior. Nevertheless, she persevered in promoting her personal brand.

Since her departure from the show, Kaisha has concentrated on her entrepreneurial endeavors. She currently operates a skincare line named Kaisha Luxury Skincare and actively engages in philanthropy through the League of Hope Initiative.

Kiddwaya

Teerseer Waya, known as Kiddwaya, is the son of billionaire Terry Waya. He gained recognition as a contestant on the fifth season of Big Brother Naija, titled ‘Lockdown Edition.’

His journey on the show was marked by notable drama, particularly his romantic involvement with fellow housemate Erica Nlewedim, which attracted significant attention and stirred controversy. Their relationship was a focal point during lighthearted moments and continued to be a topic of discussion even after Erica's eviction.

Upon returning to the BBNaija platform for the eighth season, the All Stars edition, Kiddwaya once again made headlines by offering his co-contestant Cee-C an amount equivalent to the grand prize in exchange for her exit from the house. He also achieved the distinction of being the second Head of House in two separate seasons, underscoring his popularity.

In addition to his television presence, Kiddwaya is an entrepreneur, serving as the CEO of Valley Agricultural and Foods Company and co-founding AK Exports. He is also passionate about health and fitness, which he regards as one of his significant accomplishments. Bally B

Bobai Balat, popularly known as Bally B, is a disc jockey and music producer who rose to fame as a contestant on Big Brother Naija season 2 in 2017.

Originally from Kaduna, Bally earned a degree in Computer Information Technology from Purdue University, a BA in Economics from the American University of Nigeria, and a Master’s degree in International Economics from the University of Nottingham.

His passion for music was nurtured in a family that cherished musical expression, influenced by his three older siblings.

Bally's participation in BBN catapulted him into the limelight, where he finished as the fifth runner-up.

Beyond music, he has pursued acting by enrolling in the Royal Arts Academy in Nigeria for formal training. He has since appeared in various short films and made guest appearances on television shows.

Following BBN, Bally introduced the Bally Rally Movement, aimed at empowering youth and engaging with the community through music. This initiative includes charitable trips to assist orphanages and internally displaced individuals, as well as music events showcasing local artists.

Jackie B

Jackie Bent, popularly known as Jackie B, is an accomplished interior designer and event planner hailing from Adamawa State. She rose to prominence as a contestant on the sixth season of a reality show in 2021.

In addition to her design expertise, Jackie is a certified event and wedding planner. She established her own business, Lureino Bent Hair and Beauty Salon, in 2014 and has cultivated a strong following on Instagram, where she shares insights on fashion and beauty.

Jackie is the daughter of Folashade Bent, a former senator for Adamawa South. She also makes a positive impact through her philanthropic work with the Jackie Bent Hope Foundation.

Yousef Adamu

Yousef Adamu garnered significant attention as a contestant in the 2021 edition of the reality TV show. With a Nigerian father and an Arabian mother, his diverse background intrigued many viewers.

She made her acting debut in the romantic comedy film ‘Cake’, portraying the character Ifeoma. During her time on Big Brother Naija, she triumphed in the Supa Komando challenge, winning N2 million and securing a one-year ambassadorship deal with the brand. Khalid

Ismail Ahalu, widely recognized as Khalid, participated in Season 7 of Big Brother Naija, known as the ‘Level Up Edition’.

Throughout his stay in the Big Brother house, he became known for his integrity, authenticity, and passion for art. After leaving the show, Khalid has remained dedicated to his artistic pursuits and entrepreneurial ventures. His commitment to art serves as a means of self-expression and connection with others. As a freelancer, he has engaged in various mural and graphic design projects.

Khalid is also the founder and CEO of Khalid Autos, a car dealership he established in 2012. In addition to his business endeavors, he is an avid basketball player and enjoys hobbies such as archery, skateboarding, and motor-track racing. He has a keen interest in filmmaking, photography, and boxing, and is proficient in both Japanese and Spanish.
