VistaJet plays a pivotal role in expanding the private aviation network across China and Africa, thereby facilitating business connections and contributing to mutually advantageous economic growth and development within these regions.
VistaJet convened business leaders, heads of state, and government officials at one of the largest global forums, the 9th Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), held in Beijing from September 4 to 6. This summit, which occurs every three years and alternates between China and Africa, is designed to enhance and strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two regions.
As reported by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) , China has emerged as Africa's primary trading partner, largely due to initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative. Currently, approximately 20% of Africa's exports are directed to China, while around 16% of its imports originate from there. In 2023, the total trade volume reached a record high of $282 billion. VistaJet is instrumental in expanding the private aviation network in both China and Africa, thereby facilitating business connections and promoting economic growth and development in these areas.
At this year's FOCAC, China reaffirmed its dedication to Africa's development by committing nearly $51 billion in funding over the next three years, which will support additional infrastructure projects and the creation of at least 1 million jobs. In a similar vein, the second Indonesia-Africa Forum took place in Bali in early September, where Indonesia successfully established 32 business partnerships valued at over $3.5 billion, highlighting the strengthening ties between Asia and Africa.
Philippe Scalabrini, President of Europe and Africa at VistaJet said: “The role of private aviation does not stop at air mobility. Not only it is the safest and most efficient way for point-to-point travel, it also brings the world together and opens the door to deep collaborations and exploring new opportunities.
