The visit, led by CEO Dr. Ezekiel Adamu, honored the athletes for their achievements in this significant boxing series organized by Balmoral Group’s sports division, Game Rush. Dr. Adamu urged the champions to seize this crucial moment in their careers and aim for international acclaim.
During the gathering, Dr. Adamu revealed plans for the next boxing event scheduled for December 26, 2024. He stated, “The success of ‘Chaos in the Ring’ has motivated us to further enhance the landscape of Nigerian boxing, and we eagerly anticipate another thrilling event this December.”
Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Remi Aboderin, Secretary-General of the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBBofC) and President of the West African Boxing Union, along with the victorious athletes: Kazeem Lawal (National Super Welterweight Challenge Winner), Basit ‘Jokerboy’ Adebayo (National Lightweight Challenge Winner), Joy Nene Ojo (National Female Super Bantamweight Challenge Winner), Yusuf ‘Hungry Lion’ Ogunbunmi (National Light Welterweight Challenge Winner), Rasheed ‘Faliboy’ Adeyemo (National Middleweight Challenge Winner), Agba Meshack (National Cruiserweight Challenge Winner), and Nurudeen Salawu (National Super Flyweight Title Fight Winner).
In his address to the winners, Dr. Adamu remarked, “You have performed exceptionally well in the ring. Now, it’s essential to channel that same determination outside of it—be purposeful, embrace your success, and build upon it. Your accomplishments in the ring are important, but how you present yourself beyond it is equally vital.”
He also emphasized Balmoral Group’s commitment to supporting Nigerian athletes: “Through Game Rush, we are not only creating opportunities for athletes to display their skills but also providing them with the necessary resources, exposure, and chances to thrive, both locally and internationally.”
