In celebration of Nigeria's 64th Independence Day, the streaming service recently revealed the top 10 most streamed Nigerian artists and songs in its history.
Burna Boy secured the top position, followed by notable names such as Wizkid, Davido, Rema, and Asake. The remaining spots in the top 10 are filled by Tems, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, BNXN, and Olamide.
Rema's remix of 'Calm Down' featuring Selena Gomez has been recognized as the most streamed Nigerian song ever on Apple Music, with Burna Boy's 'Last Last' and Wizkid's 'Essence' featuring Tems following closely behind. Tems' 'Free Mind' ranks fourth, while Burna Boy's 'Ye' is fifth.
The list is rounded out by 'Location' by Dave and Burna Boy, Rema's 'Calm Down', Ayra Starr's 'Rush', Burna Boy's 'On The Low', and 'Come Closer' by Wizkid featuring Drake.
Additionally, the platform highlighted Nigeria's rich diversity by showcasing nine Afrobeats talents: 2Baba from Jos, Omah Lay from Port Harcourt, Odumodublvck from Abuja, Shallipopi from Benin City, Seyi Vibez from Lagos, Jeriq from Enugu, Bloody Civilian from Abuja, and Qing Madi from Benin City.
