The Aviation Security (AVSEC) Unit organized a 30-minute parade within the terminal, showcasing a spirit of togetherness. Ms. Monica Oguta, the Head of Aviation Security, noted that this event marked the second in a series, with personnel receiving training from the Nigerian Air Force.
"This initiative reflects our patriotism and fosters a sense of unity among us. Regardless of the challenges we face, I always encourage my team to remain optimistic and look forward to better days ahead. I also urge the youth to maintain an open mindset, acquire skills, and not solely rely on the government," she stated.
Mr. Kola Bamigboye, Head of Space and Premises, characterized the parade as a demonstration of passion for Nigeria, highlighting the unity and dedication displayed by the participants.
Mr. Remi Jibodu, Bi-Courtney’s Head of Aeronautics and Cargo Services and Acting Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that the parade symbolized resilience and collective effort, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful for a brighter future. He reaffirmed the company's commitment to fulfilling its promises regarding innovations.
Mrs. Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, the Head of Corporate Communications, remarked that the parade aimed to inspire hope, assuring that Bi-Courtney would continue to prioritize the safety and security of airport users.
Princess Elemanya Ebilah, a retired civil servant and former Director of Finance at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, expressed her excitement about the parade, noting that the historical songs evoked cherished memories and the words of the National Anthem resonated deeply.
"Nigeria will be great again. Nigeria must be united," she affirmed.
