In a heartfelt post on his Instagram account, Afod shared recent photographs of himself while discussing his experiences during the last twelve months.
He characterized the year as “difficult and demanding,” revealing that behind the public persona of smiles and laughter, there have been instances of pain and distress. Nevertheless, he has made a conscious decision to bring joy and positivity to those around him.
Known affectionately as “ADEKUNLE AFOD,” and recognized by titles such as “Omo iya nurse” and “Oko celeb wife,” he expressed his gratitude to God for the blessings in his life. He noted that his birthday serves as a significant moment for connection with God and offered prayers for comfort in the year ahead.
“The last year has been tough and challenging. Pain and agony even behind the smile and laughter you see out there, yet I choose to bring joy and happiness to people. But I bring to you, Lord, all glory and honor, and I say thank you, Father. I use this day as a point of contact with you, Lord; please comfort me. Every good thing I pray for shall be answered, in Jesus’ name. Happy birthday to me,” he wrote.
Kunle commenced his acting career with the mentorship of the esteemed performer Jide Ogungbade, who guided him for a period of seven years.Subsequently, he became a member of the Awada Kerikeri Theatre Group, where he was trained by the acclaimed actor and director Adebayo Salami.
His rise to fame was marked by his direction of the hit film “Ori Eiye.”
Afod has appeared in numerous Nollywood productions, including notable titles such as Ewe Koko (2006), Esuru (2006), Igbako (2020), and Odi Ada (2005), among others.
