According to a source familiar with the agreement, the deal is valued at $100 million annually, along with royalties from the sales of national team jerseys, which were not part of previous contracts.
The source requested anonymity due to the confidential nature of the agreement.
For the first time, the Brazilian Football Confederation will have the opportunity to license products and establish stores globally.
“This contract demonstrates the strength of Brazilian soccer,” stated CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues. “This is one of the longest and most successful collaborations in the sport, and together, we will continue to celebrate the excellence of Brazilian soccer and uphold the legacy of jogo bonito.”
Brazil and Nike began their partnership in 1996, and the previous contract was set to expire in 2026.
Doug Bowles, Nike’s vice president for Latin America, remarked that the agreement “reinforces our longstanding commitment to Brazilian soccer.”
Nike uniforms are worn by Brazil’s men’s and women’s teams across all age groups, as well as by the beach soccer and futsal teams.
In March, Nike also secured a deal with the German soccer federation to take over from Adidas as the supplier of apparel and equipment for its national teams from 2027 to 2034, reportedly valued at around 100 million euros ($108 million). Germany's longstanding relationship with Adidas has spanned approximately 70 years and seemed unbreakable.
Other national teams that Nike sponsors include Australia, Croatia, England, France, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea.
