This recognition was presented by the Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA) in acknowledgment of the company's remarkable achievements, innovation, and significant impact in fostering women's empowerment.
The award took into account several factors, including Mouka's dedication to enhancing women's well-being, its inclusive community initiatives, and its overall contributions to promoting women's empowerment within the foam industry.
Among the company's initiatives aimed at empowering women is the "Mum in Business" program, which collaborates with Herconomy, Nigeria's first fintech company focused on women. This initiative is designed to support female entrepreneurs and professionals through financial services, capacity building, and community engagement. Mouka also provides cash grants to deserving women who successfully juggle entrepreneurship and motherhood while contributing to sustainable development.
Additionally, Mouka has partnered with the 360 Complete Woman Beauty Contest, organized by the Complete 360 Woman, an online community that empowers women to achieve self-worth and purpose. This initiative helps women realize their potential through self-awareness and personal development.Another significant collaboration is with the Gnosis Help Initiative, a non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on assisting victims of domestic violence and abuse. This partnership aims to improve the living conditions of displaced women residing in shelters provided by the NGO.
