On Thursday, Bayern announced that Musiala would need to "take a break for the time being" and would be unable to participate in training ahead of their Bundesliga clash against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday.
This season, Musiala has made a significant impact, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists in 22 matches across all competitions. His nine goals place him joint fourth in the Bundesliga scoring chart.
The situation regarding the goalkeeper position remains uncertain, as Daniel Peretz sustained a kidney injury during training on Wednesday. Peretz had been filling in for the injured Manuel Neuer, who is recovering from a broken rib, prior to the winter break.
Peretz also featured in a 6-0 friendly victory against Austrian side Salzburg on Monday, with Neuer absent from the squad. Long-time backup Sven Ulreich may also be considered for the role.
Currently, Bayern holds a four-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga over last season's champions, Bayer Leverkusen, who are set to face Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
