An actress celebrated for her performances in Blues Brothers, Lady Sings the Blues, and The 10 Commandments, Dalyce Curry has sadly passed away at the age of 95. Her remains were found following the destruction of her home in Altadena due to a wildfire, as reported by TMZ.

This tragic event unfolded as the Eaton Fire swept through areas east of Los Angeles, destroying homes and leading to extensive evacuations in Altadena and Pasadena. Curry’s granddaughter shared the news of her passing in a touching Facebook tribute. She recounted her last visit with her grandmother on Tuesday, January 7, when she dropped her off at her Altadena home.

Later that same day, the wildfire broke out, wreaking havoc across the region. When the granddaughter returned the next day to check on Dalyce Curry, she was met with police barricades that prevented her from entering the area. An officer informed her that the property had been lost to the flames and directed her to a nearby civic center that was providing shelter for those displaced.

After a thorough search yielded no results, authorities confirmed on Sunday, January 12, that the cherished actress had tragically lost her life in the fire. Curry’s death is part of a larger toll, with at least 24 fatalities attributed to the catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles. Her legacy in the film industry and the cherished memories she created will endure.
