Access Bank, Nigeria's premier commercial bank, has informed its customers that they can now resume online transactions, withdraw cash from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and make Point of Sale (POS) payments using their ATM cards, following a service interruption that occurred on Sunday.

The bank released this information in a statement on Sunday after experiencing several hours of service disruptions over the weekend. Access Bank confirmed that the issues have now been rectified.

“Your Access Bank cards are back in action. You can now transact online, withdraw cash from ATMs, and make POS payments with ease! Thank you for your patience,” the bank communicated in a concise message on X on Sunday evening.

Earlier that day, customers of Access Bank took to X to voice their frustrations regarding the service disruptions. The bank had previously announced a temporary service interruption on Sunday, scheduled from 3 am to 2 pm, due to a system upgrade. However, the disruptions continued well beyond the expected timeframe, leading to increased dissatisfaction among users on X.
