The United Nations has designated Olufuye and Elgamal to serve on the Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group for the 2025 Internet Governance Forum.
Dr. Jimson Olufuye and Engr. Hossam Elgamal have been appointed by the United Nations Secretary-General to join the Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) for the upcoming 2025 Internet Governance Forum (IGF).
This MAG will be in charge of organizing the 20th Global IGF, which is set to happen in Lillestrøm, Norway, from June 23-27, 2025. Ms. Roach Carol, who is the Under Secretary at the Bahamas Ministry of Economic Affairs, will lead the group.
As an important advisory group under the UN’s Internet Governance Forum initiative, the MAG includes experts from various sectors like government, academia, civil society, the tech community, and the private sector.
Their main job is to guide discussions, encourage teamwork, and support inclusive and sustainable digital governance.
