Baba Tee revealed this during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, marking a stark reversal from his earlier denial of the affair. Previously, he had challenged Lande to provide evidence of the alleged infidelity or face legal action for defamation.
The controversy began when Lande, in a recent interview, claimed his wife left him after he discovered her alleged infidelity. He accused 21 men in the entertainment industry of being involved with her, including Baba Tee, whom he specifically named in an Instagram post and a viral interview.
Initially, Baba Tee denied the allegations, stating that he had only met Dara once, through actress Marygold, who introduced her as a content creator and upcoming artiste. He claimed he only discovered her true identity as Lande’s wife after overhearing a conversation between her and Marygold.
However, in a surprising twist, Baba Tee admitted to the affair during the live interview, explaining that the encounter occurred during a drunken game of ‘Truth or Dare’ at his home. He claimed the situation was unintended and resulted from the influence of alcohol.
Baba Tee recounted, “When Marygold and Dara came to my house, Marygold said she wanted me to MC for an upcoming event but didn’t mention she was bringing anyone. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. They asked if I had connections in Qatar, and then the ‘Truth or Dare’ game started. Marygold went completely naked and kept daring me and Dara while drinking heavily to avoid tasks. Eventually, Marygold dared Dara to let me have a quick sexual encounter with her, and she agreed. I denied it earlier because Marygold never introduced her as Lande’s wife. I won’t deny it now—it happened, but it felt like a setup to tarnish my reputation.”
Following the revelation, Esabod advised Baba Tee to formally apologize to Lande, emphasizing that his earlier denial and legal threats amounted to a betrayal.
In response, Baba Tee issued a public apology to Lande on his official Facebook page on Monday, writing, “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. I had no idea Dara was your wife… Hmmm. I fear women.”
Marygold, who is Lande’s manager, has also been implicated in the scandal, with allegations that she recorded the encounter between Baba Tee and Dara.
